If the applicant:

1) files a statement on withdrawal of the application,

2) leaves the centre for the aliens applying for granting of the refugee status for a period of time exceeding 5 days without any justified reason,

3) leaves the place of stay or the place specified in the decisions stipulated in Article 89c of the Act on granting protection to aliens within the territory of the Republic of Poland or does not report to the authority indicated in the decision at the specified intervals of time,

4) leaves the territory of the Republic of Poland,

5) does not attend the hearing or prove within 7 days from the set date of the hearing that his/her default resulted from circumstances beyond his/her control - the authority conducting the proceedings issues a decision on discontinuance of the proceedings if the discontinuance is not against the public interest.

At the request of the applicant filed within 2 years from the issue of the decision on discontinuance of the proceedings, the authority that discontinued the proceedings, waives its decision on the discontinuance and re-initiates the proceedings, with the actions undertaken in the course of the discontinued proceedings remaining in force.
