Social assistance may be granted to each foreigner who submitted an application for refugee status except for situations in which:

• you are benefitting from subsidiary protection;
• you have a permit for tolerated stay;
• you are staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland based on a residence permit for a fixed period, settlement permit or a residence permit for a long-term EC resident;
• you are staying in a childcare centre;
• you are in a detention centre or deportation detention centre;
• you are in pre-trial detention or serving a prison sentence.
