An alien applying for the refugee status as well as the person on behalf of whom the alien is applying may freely contact a representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as well as any organisation dealing statutorily with the refugee matters.

The body conducting the proceedings provides information on their course to the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees upon its request and upon a written consent of the applicant; it also provides access to the documents gathered and allows making notes and copies. In case the applicant is an unaccompanied minor, execution of powers of the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees does not depend on the consent of the guardian appointed to represent the minor in proceedings.
