RESPONSIBILITIES

In the course of the refugee status application, the applicant and the person on behalf of which the applicant is acting will be subject to the following:

  • photographing and fingerprinting (a sample of an impression left by the papillary ridges will be taken),
  • medical examination and the necessary body and clothing cleaning procedures,
  • hand searches and luggage screening in order to eliminate the possibility of committing a crime or an offence or to determine someone's identity.

In the course of the submission of the refugee status application, the applicant and the person on behalf of which the applicant is acting must provide the following information on:

  • their country of origin,
  • visas or permits for stay issued by authorities of other countries,
  • their travelling route to the border and the place in which the border was crossed,
  • seeking refugee status by the applicant or member of their family in another state,
  • the first name and last name, date and place of birth, address of place of residence and degree of relatedness of the applicant's family member residing in the territory of another Member State.

In the course of the refugee status procedure, the applicant will be obliged to:

  • present the information necessary to ascertain the facts of the case, in particular on the age, origin, identity, citizenship, relatives, the country and places of previous stay, earlier applications, travelling route and reasons for the submission of the application,
  • make available the evidence confirming the circumstances referred to in the justification of the application,
  • handing over of their travelling document to be deposited by the Head of the Office for Foreigners, as well as that of the person on whose behalf the applicant is acting through the authority receiving the application,
  • appear upon the request of the authority in charge of the procedure for an interview or provide clarifications,
  • report any change of their place of stay and that of the person on behalf of which the applicant is acting,
  • stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland until the day of serving the final decision on granting the status unless the foreigner submitted another refugee status application and the Head of the Office did not suspend the enforcement of the expulsion decision.
