The outcome of each refugee procedure is the issuance of a decision. The decision is issued within 30 days - if the application was considered as clearly groundless (see: THE PROCEDURE OF GRANTING REFUGEE STATUS, INITIAL STAGE) or within 6 months of the day of submission of the application. The above dates concern the procedures conducted by the Head of the Office.

Each decision must contain information in a language which is comprehensible to the individual concerned and this applies to decisions on:

• the outcome of the procedure,
• bodies of appeal that the foreigner may use.

Refugee Council (http://www.rada-ds-uchodzcow.gov.pl/) is a body which considers appeals from the decisions of the Head of the Office. For more information on the decision, see: THE OUTCOME OF THE PROCEDURE.
